"
Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard." - H.L. Mencken
“… the term “democrat” originated as an epithet and referred to ‘one who panders to the crude and mindless whims of the masses.’” - Joseph J. Ellis
Alright peeps, mob rule is in effect! If you notice to the right (sorry, the format will not allow me to put it on the left) you have YOUR say! Before we get started, let us reflect on the wisdom of the common man, expressing his fantastic capacity for putting thought into action throughout recent times.
Here is how whitey riots:

I have absolutely no idea what the first video was. I'm not quite sure if I understand the second.
I voted for Pyongyang because it is farther away from here and because that city is the closest thing to the Democrat's vision of utopia.
Good point regarding the 3rd video. I though it was just documenting the hypocrisy and insanity of the anti-globalization kooks by doing nothing more than showing their activities.
Anti-capitalism/anti-globalization events have almost become adventure vacations for the left. They are akin to college students going to the West Bank to get shot at by Israelis. Literally, that is why they go there - so they can say that they, too, were oppressed by Israelis. Who goes looking for oppression?
Here in the gut of the beltway, college students - about once per year - will show their solidarity with the homeless by sleeping on the sidewalk for a night. The absurdity of the whole affair is clearly lost on them. Whereas most homeless people that I see sleeping on the street are miserable, drug-addicted, physically abused, and mentally unhealthy folks, the college students saw their sleep on the sidewalk as a fun social event (in one instance, they actually postponed it on account of rain - way to go!). They ensure that campus security patrols more heavily, so that they're safe, they bring nice clean sleeping bags and books and radios, lots of snacks, and even have entertainment planned. Why, it's indistinguishable from the life of a homeless person! And then they go back to their lives and tell their fellow fringe-kook lefty friends about the neat adventure. And the condition of the homeless doesn't change.
Hey Boogification -
Your cousin's wife here. You can see I'm no longer anonymous. Feel free to check out my blog if you'd like... it's mostly an online diary, just showing my day-to-day life in rainy Seattle.
So..... you make it extremely hard for me not to comment when it seems like you are baiting me! : ) Seattle?! You have to know I have some opinions on that! Here are some of my thoughts on the city I choose to live in:
S E A T T L E
Some of your thoughts on Seattle aren't too far off. It is true we have a small black community. (We have a large Asian and Canadian community instead, partly because of geography.) Seattle liberals do not tell black people what is best for them. Black people have figured it out for themselves, and in doing so, have simply found a friend/ally in the liberal.
I was a bit confused by your line, "...conservatives who actually have jobs and need to get to them on time." Seattle is run by thousands of hard-working lefties who make sure you have a computer to type your blog on, that you can easily get jacked-up on coffee, and when you need a break, you have your choice between both xBox or Nintendo to chill. And even though the corporate employees moved to Chicago (much to our chagrin), tons of union-paying liberals build almost all the airplanes Americans get on. Boeing's kind of a big deal out here.
The south. Actually, we don't assault the south. We don't assault it because it's not even on our radar as something to think about. I'm pretty sure the only time we think about the south is when we watch all the states turn red on CNN's graphic of the nation during election time. And then we do indeed trash conservatives while drinking our $7.00 lattes. : ) We just don't do it at Starbucks. We buy coffee at independent coffee houses because that's how liberals roll.
As long as we're talking about cities/states, I thought I'd let you know....... we don't travel to any part of the country that isn't touching an ocean and we don't spend our liberal dollars in red states. New York, California, Oregon and Washington State is what we consider to be our country. (Oh, and Hawaii is great for vacationing.) The middle and southern parts of the country are welcome to secede into their own nation at any time. Hell, we'll even pay for it since we're well-educated with high-paying careers, and we're gay or choose not to have children, so we have tons of extra money!
Bottom line? We know we live in a bubble. But, we wouldn't have it any other way.

From your angle of looking at things in terms of states, I think you may be wrong. If we approach the issue from one of states rather than of individuals, you do spend your money in "red" states. NY, CA, OR, and WA rank among the lowest states for Federal spending received in terms of dollars paid. For example, WA receives about $0.88 of federal spending for every $1 that it sends to the feds. It's less for CA and NY.
